Soho House. Super cute restaurant on the first floor - you do not need to be a member to experience some yummy food & drinks. |
A few weeks ago I made a quick 30 hour weekend getaway to my home town aka Chicago! I have not been back there in quite some time now that my family has moves out here so it was definitely nice to see how much it has changed.
Some of my all time things about Chicago are the new trendy places that have amazing food and specialty drinks. Those days when I was not picky about where I have dinner are now over and I am all about looking for the next best thing - whether it is a speakeasy bar or a hole in a wall restaurant with an amazing selection of drinks. Chicago is known for lots of fried goodies and I sure had enough of it that weekend (I am still trying to lose a pound or two haha). There is something about being on a vacation, no matter if it is for a day or a week that make it a good excuse to splurge on anything and everything!
Here are some of my favorites listed below under photos. Sorry for the lack of photos - there is not much I did during the 30 hours while I was there besides my friend's engagement parties hehe. I am also now on Snapchat and trying to share more every day life moments, make sure to follow me and see where I am and what I am up to @skynaitee !
